What F-stop did you have your camera set to create a shallow depth of field? What ISO and WB settings did you use?
My F-stop I have used is F/4 to create a shallow depth of field. The ISO and WB settings I used is 800 for the ISO and the White Balance is auto. What F-stop did you have your camera set to create a large depth of Field? My F-stop I have used is F/18 to create a large depth of field. The ISO and WB settings I have used is 800 for the ISO and the White Balance is auto. Which Photo is better? Why? I think that the locker photo is better because the back of the background is on focus and the foreground is blurry. Why would you want to use a shallow depth of Field? I would want to use a shallow depth of Field because it gives a better understanding that the whole thing is blurry and you can't see anything. When in what situation would a large depth of field be better? It is better to do it in the morning or the afternoon outside when the whole thing is on focus and not blurry. |
Select one of your images that show a fast shutter speed.
Approximately what shutter speed did you use to freeze action? I used 1/30 of a second. What ISO and WB settings did you use? The ISO is 800 and the WB is sunlight. (If you were on a phone camera, make a logical guess) What action did you freeze? (Describe). I used 1/30 of a second and it was the fast shutter speed . What was your distance, and point of view for the photo? My distance was 7 feet and the point of view is below the tripod. Describe any compositional elements (tools) that are present in or that strengthen the photo.(rule of thirds, positive and negative space, line, shape, pattern, texture, strong colors, repetition, contrast...) The rule of Thirds is Max in the middle and the light is very bright at the background. The line is the pole and the shape is the stairs and the handle of the stairs. Select one of your images that show a slow shutter speed. Approximately what shutter speed did you use to purposely blur action? I used 1/30 second. What ISO and WB settings did you use? The ISO is 800 and the White Balance is cloudy. (If you were on a phone camera, make a logical guess) What motion, or part of the image shows blur? (Describe). I used 1/30 of a second and you can see the blur all over the picture because you can't see the people or the place that it is in. What was your distance, and point of view for the photo? My distance was really far like about 15 ft away and I was on a tripod. Describe any compositional elements (tools) that are present in or that strengthen the photo. There were shapes and patterns for the one outside of classrooms. The rule of Thirds doesn't show and texture is really good. There are lines too but you can't see it because it is really person. |
