What is the subject for your photo essay and where did you take your photographs? (1) The Subject of my photo essay is about Tulips. It's about the colorful flowers outside, the patterns, texture and colors. I took this outside of the art class in the courtyard. Why did you select this place? Why is it significant or important to you? (1) I selected this place because it was a beautiful sunny day outside and that it was a classwork that was instructed by Ms. Troutman. This is really significant and important to me because it reminds me of my peaceful and happier times of when I go to the park and I see Tulips/flowers and I clear my head and relax on a nice and sunny day. What concept are you trying to portray about this topic? (1) The concept that I am trying to portray in Tulips is that it is a very important part of nature and that it represents the beauty to this world that everyone sniffs the beautiful Tulips, acknowledges the color and texture of the flower and that it looks cute on top of the ears. Visually, how did your images capture the narrative or “story” of your essay? (1) My image captures the narrative or story because Tulips is the past, present and future of this wonderful world and that my story goes way back to when I was younger when I was always playing with Tulips and running around with them. Discuss: the order and arrangement of your photos and how you visually unified the series of photos? (2) For my series of photos, I made most pictures different colors, different angles, 2 pictures that are black and white and that they have lines and textures. There are many rule of thirds in these photos and that the background is sometimes out of focus. Which photo is the strongest in the series? Describe the composition (2) (viewpoint, angle, lighting, etc) and technical aspects / editing (2) of one of the photos. I would say photo 3 has the strongest photo in this series because the angle that I did was above and I zoomed and cropped the photo a little and there is bright light and that my ISO was at 100 and the white balance was at Sunny. The foreground was in focus while the background was out of focus. |
